Hi:
It seems some programs (Powerpoint and lately Firefox) show up in monitor # 2 only instead of main monitor, # 1). Any idea how to force them / prevent them from showing up there by default??
Firefox 4.0 was working fine till hit the switch to monitor 2 by mistake and now it shows up there all the time!
I tried everything and read almsot anything but no luck. Windows 7, by the way
Thanks in advance

Try moving the application to the other monitor, then close it there, usually this will fix the problem as most applications save their position and will then open on the same monitor the next time.
For Firefox, you may have to un-maximize it first, move it to the other monitor, then maximize it again and close it for the position to get saved properly.

Thanks for the reply Christian. I tried that and it didn't help. The only way to make an application show on one specific monitor, is by creating an Ultramon shortcut and telling where exactly it should start.
This of course causes Windows 7 to ask each time if I reallty want the Ultramon shortcut to execute (and launch FireFox, in this case)!
And yes, I am logged in as Admin.

Do you have the same issue if you create a new shortcut for the application via UltraMon menu > Shortcuts? I'm not sure why you would get a security prompt, haven't seen this myself so far.

Is the shortcut configured to run as administrator? That could explain why you get a security warning.

Hi Christian:
Yes it was running as Admin. Now it's running perfectly after I changed that.
Thanks, appreciate your kind help!
