I have the smart Taskbar turned on and it all works fine (I have my taskbars looking like the xp ones).
The issue I have is with the colour of the 'tab'. The colour is 'whiter' than the regular taskbar and when a white application is behind the taskbar you can not read the application name.

I'm seeing that as well, thanks for the bug report. Will look into this for one of the next releases.
