In windows of some newer programs like SnagIt 10, the 'move to mon' or 'maximize' buttons are not available.

Usually this happens if the application has a custom title bar, depending on how this is implemented UltraMon may treat the application as not having a title bar, and won't add the buttons.
What should still work fine are the Move Window/Maximize to Desktop hotkeys, you can configure those via UltraMon Options > Hotkeys.
