Hi, would it be possible to use 2 ATI 5870 eyefinity 6 cards to create a 12 monitor group in ultramon? Would windows then see this as one giant display?
Thanks for your help,
Julio

As far as UltraMon is concerned this will work fine, but the video card driver needs to support this as well. The desktop would get extended to all 12 monitors, but you would be able to use different settings such as resolution for each monitor.

This is fine as far as UltraMon is concerned, but you should check with the video card manufacturer if they support this configuration.

we thought to use PowerColor HD6870 2 GB Eyefinity 6 (AX6870 2GBD5-6DG)

I don't know if this video card supports such a configuration.

The HD6870 is now discontinued and has been replaced by the HD7870 Eyefinity 6 card, AX7870 2GBD5-6D. The card will be able to support 6 displays by itself.
Windows 7 will be able to support 10 monitors by itself. However, if you wish to use additional monitors, 3rd party software will be required in order to do so.
Thank you,

Is 10 monitors really the maximum Win7 supports? Is that for all versions? Even Ultimate?
So two of your cards with 12 monitors won't work? If 10 work, what happens with the other 2?
Btw, on another note, I found this post which mentions Cinemassive, which might help do this.
