This may have been brought up before, but is there any way to move the system tray (which holds the clock and some icons for active applications) out of the regular taskbar and into a SmartTaskbar? If not, could this be made a formal feature request?

Thanks for your suggestion. This is already on the feature list, and will be considered for a future release. Most likely won't make it into 2.0 final though.

This didn't make into 2.4 either. :)
Any word on this one? I too would like to move the clock and notification area to the secondary monitor.

Clock and notification area on UltraMon taskbars is planned for UltraMon 3 (don't know yet if the notification area can actually be done though).
Currently I have no plans to add support for disabling the system tray of the Windows taskbar.

I agree, it should make it in to this piece of software.
For use as somthing like the following. This is a go-l computer display and uses their custom winXP build. i.e. http://www.go-l.com/monitors/cinerama/features/main.jpg

Just saying my main function for the 2nd monitor is IRC/ICQ/Messenger applications & I set those applications to display new incoming messages in the system tray (default feature for ICQ).
It'd be really cool if those incoming messages in the systray would be shown in the systray of the secondary monitor, so I won't have to check the primary monitor to see if I got new messages on the secondary one... ;-)

It's isn't in 2.5 either. Is there any plan to allow us to move the Tray Bar in any future version...?

I'm going to look into it for UltraMon 3, but don't know yet if it can be done.

In NVidia's software they have a feature to just stretch the taskbar across both monitors rather than creating a whole new one like ultramon does.
Perhaps there's a way to stretch it?

Yep - here's the topic I came to see - i too want a tray on my second taskbar, if for nothing else i want to have a clock there as i habitually check the time there and it's *such* an effort to actually mobilize my neck to see the clock on the primary monitor, in those situations i usually turn all the way around and glance at the wallclock ;)
no no, seriously, i want a clock on my smart taskbar, but also if i could assign some programs to live in that tray it would also be nice (like my im or email notifier)
(uh, good luck, i have a faint idea of the mountain you may climb to achieve the 2nd icon notify area)
