Hi, is there any way to implement the ability to automatically change the wallpapers depending on whether I have my second monitor plugged in?
I have a laptop so in my office I have a dual screen wallpaper. When I disconnect my second screen I would love for my wallpaper to automatically change to a different image which suits just the single screen.
Is this possible?
Thanks,
Tom

There's no built-in way to do this, but it would be possible to create a script which checks the display configuration periodically, then loads the appropriate wallpaper. The only drawback is that the script would need to be running constantly, and check the configuration every couple of seconds. If you're interested in this let me know.
It would also be possible to create a shortcut which loads a specific wallpaper, this way you wouldn't need to go through UltraMon menu > Wallpaper to change wallpaper profiles.

Hi, I actually found a script which selects the next wallpaper profile, and as I have two this works fine for manual switching. I am however interested in your periodic checking idea, as I cannot imagine it taking up too much of my system resources... Would it possible for you to come up with something? Thanks so much,
Tom

Hi Tom, I have uploaded a script which does this, SwitchWallpaperSingleMultiMon.
To have the script start automatically at system startup, place the script or a shortcut to it into the Start Menu > Programs > Startup folder.
