I currently have a 16 panel array mounted on ceiling and would like to add a 17th in a closet that would be set as the primary but not interfere with 16 panels on the ceiling when using 3d desktop to display video. When I enable the 17th monitor it distorts the 16 panels on the ceiling. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

What do you mean with distortion, for example does the desktop wallpaper get distorted? You could also send me a screenshot showing the issue (if possible) to support@realtimesoft.com.

Thanks for the quick reply. OK maybe distorts is not the right word, when the 17th monitor is enabled it stretches the desktop from the 16 panel array onto the 17th and it looks like part of the desktop is missing. What I would like to do is have the 17th monitor independent from the other 16,I want to be able to control Windows and VLC from the 17th monitor and use the 16 panels just display video using the 3d desktop feature in VLC. Thanks again.

You can't prevent the desktop getting extended to the 17th monitor, but I would recommend changing the monitor arrangement so that the 17th monitor is to the side of the 16 others, then configure VLC to stretch the video only across the first 16 monitors (if that's supported). This way you should get the desired result.

I've tried that option, it works with VLC but the video player needs to be dragged to the 16 panels and resized to fit proportionally also during a slideshow the image is cropped. With 3d desktop in VLC its just one click and the video is proportional on the 16 panels, I'm looking for simplicity for the end user. Im wondering if cloning one of the 16 panels to the 17th would help. Im trying to avoid looking up at the ceiling to to start a slideshow or video. Thanks again

That might be a good solution, if you have a free output on the video card the primary monitor is connected to you could use the video card's clone mode to mirror the primary on the 17th monitor, otherwise I would recommend getting a video splitter, this device would take a single video output and send it to two monitors.
UltraMon's mirroring feature isn't suited for this as it requires that the 17th monitor is part of the extended desktop.
