I use UltraMon on my Sony laptop with an external monitor connected via HDMI port. After a system restart UltraMon will work fine for a day or two then simply stop functioning – I can’t move a window between the laptop screen and the external monitor with either the hot key or the UltraMon symbols it adds to the top right corner of each app’s window. Closing UltraMon from the task bar and restarting it does not solve the problem. If I restart my system, UltraMon then works fine for another day or two then will stop again.
My config: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, 8 GB RAM, Graphics = 1GB NVidia GF GT 330M, Kaspersky 2011 Internet Security

Sounds like an issue which was fixed in version 3.1.0, you can download it here.

That's good news. I'm now running with the new version. If the problem surfaces again I'll report it back here.
