I'd like to be able to choose a profile based on which monitor is attached. I'm using a laptop at different locations, each location has a different type of external monitor. I'd like for Ultramon to be able to switch profiles automatically when a certain monitor is detected.

Thanks for the suggestion, will be considered for a future release.
If you're on Windows 7, it should also be possible to do this with a custom script, the script could run at login, check which monitors are present, then apply display settings accordingly. Let me know if you would be interested in this.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm still on XP for the time being.

You could check if each monitor has a distinct name, you can see this via UltraMon menu > Display Settings. In that case the script would work, but on XP monitor names are usually something generic, like Generic PnP Monitor or similar.

I checked - the monitor names are generic. Thanks anyway, I'll check again when I switch to Windows 7.
