We've begun using RemoteApp in the office, via packaged RDP files.
I created shortcuts to a few of these, and tried setting them to run on specific monitors via "UltraMon - Window" from the shortcut properties...
But the apps still start up center-focused on monitor #1.

I'm seeing that as well, unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a fix for this. There are two issues:
1) when you use the customized shortcut, UltraMon launches the remote app then looks for the application's main window in order to position it, but because a second process gets launched for the actual application it never finds the window.
2) a workaround for this would be to use a custom script to launch the remote app, then position it based on window caption for example, this works fine except that the remote app no longer responds to input after having been moved. This seems to be a bug in the remote app feature, the same issue occurs when moving the remote app via UltraMon or Windows hotkeys.
