My primary video card is a new 64 mb ddr nvidia GeForce 3 4x AGP. I'm running a dvi monitor and it's all great. I want to add a second card and dvi monitor. Need I stick to a pci card that's very like this primary one? If not, please recommend a pci card that would support one and perhaps two (additional) dvi monitors.
I asked something similar a while back but the compatibility twist was suggested by a conversation with a vendor.
Thanks. Howie

I just spoke to another vendor who said that I was in for trouble with 2 cards and that I should scrap my primary card (it's new and expensive) and just get a dual head card? Any advice? Thanks for all. Howie

A PCI card for the secondary monitor should work fine, Matrox has a new version of the G450 with a DVI output (only one, the other is VGA). InnoVision also has a GeForce2 MX TwinView card with a single DVI port.
