Hey! I want to use different wallpapers at work. I managed to set them up just fine by adding a wallpaper profile.
The problem is, when i lock my PC and log back in, both my primary monitor and the second one show the same thing, a mix-up of the two different wallpapers.
This happens every time, and it's tiresome to keep changing them back.
Any ideas?

Is the UltraMon wallpaper still the active wallpaper when this happens?
You can confirm this either via Control Panel > Personalization (Display on Windows XP and earlier), or via UltraMon menu > Wallpaper.

Yes, the profile I made with the different wallpapers is still active, if this is what you meant.
It's just that both screens are split down the middle and showing half of each of the two different wallpapers.
My friends who have installed UltraMon have all experienced the same problem.

Does restarting UltraMon fix the problem? You can close UltraMon via UltraMon menu > Close, then restart it via the shortcut in Start Menu > Programs.

It does. Even reapplying the profile changes it back to the original 2 different wallpapers setting.
The thing is if I'm at work i might have to lock the PC/log back onto it maybe 10-15 times a day.
Going into the program and changing it back every time is annoying.

Which version of UltraMon and Windows are you using?

I'm using UltraMon_3.0.10, and my PC is running Windows Vista Enterprise

Make sure UltraMon is configured to update the wallpaper in response to display configuration changes, to do this go to UltraMon menu > Wallpaper, select the Options tab, then check 'adjust wallpaper when display configuration changes'.
If the option is already checked: I'm not sure what exactly the problem might be, but it should be possible to implement a workaround by updating the wallpaper in response to the computer getting unlocked.

The option is checked. It keeps switching them anyways.

To set up the workaround I mentioned, do the following:
- go to Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Task Scheduler
- click on Create Task and enter Refresh UltraMon wallpaper in the Name field
- select the Triggers tab, then create a new trigger and set the Begin the Task setting to 'On workstation unlock'
- select the Actions tab, create a new 'Start a program' action, set the Program field to "C:\Program Files\UltraMon\UltraMonDesktop.exe" and the Add Arguments field to /refresh
Please let me know if that fixes the issue for you.

Ok, so i followed your instructions, and set everything up. The problem remains. When i check the Task Scheduler, is shows that is supposedly refreshed, but it doesn't do anything.
I really appreciate the help so far, but I'm giving up on it.
There are worse things than having the same wallpaper on both screens. :)
Thanks!

Might be some sort of timing issue, if you want to give this another try let me know, it might be possible to fix the problem by refreshing the wallpaper after waiting for a couple of seconds after the system was unlocked.
