This issue is intermittent, which has made it difficult to identify.
It's taken some testing to determine that UltraMon was causing this issue.
I've been having it for months, but never took the time to figure out what was causing it, until tonight.
Whenever a video starts playing in a media player (e.g.: Winamp, VLC) on my second monitor, the system locks up. This happens regardless of if the video is playing fullscreen or not.
Anywhere after 20 seconds to a minute of being frozen, the second monitor might turn off and turn back on, but doesn't in all cases. Regardless of if it turns off and back on, the system unfreezes eventually and the video starts to play.
If I stop the video, the system locks up again, this time for a shorter period of time, maybe 10 seconds.
If I play a flash video in a browser on the second monitor, the video will play fine until I try to play with the progress bar to rewind the video or move it forward. I can even put it in full screen and it'll play fine most times, though sometimes it does freeze.
I determined that the issue was only caused when the UltraMon screensaver started. Either after a pre-set delay set in ScreenSaver settings or because I launched it manually through UltraMon's tray icon.
This issue has made movie viewing extremely unpleasant for me and I would sincerely appreciate some help in resolving it.
Playing movies on my primary monitor causes no freezing issues of any kind.
I am using Windows XP. Two monitors. nVidia 7800GS

The issue also happens when I move a playing movie from the primary monitor to the secondary monitor while it's playing.
And if I started playing the movie on the second monitor and it froze and I kept playing it; then move it to the primary monitor? It freezes the system as well.
And if I'm playing a flash video on the second monitor and move my cursor to the primary monitor? It freezes.

Which screen savers do you have assigned to each monitor via UltraMon?
My guess would be that this is related to the specific screen savers you're using, so far I haven't been able to reproduce this issue. Testing was done on 32-bit XP SP3 with UltraMon 3.1.0 and the Mystify and 3D Pipes screen savers.
