Note: - I've posted regarding this issue before but couldn't find my previous thread. I apologize for double-posting.
System: - OS: Windows XP Pro SP3 32-bit Video card: nVidia GeForce 7800 GS Primary monitor: NEC FP912SB (1920x1440@72Hz) Secondary monitor: Mitsubishi Diamond Plus 74SB (1152x864@75Hz) Ultramon version: 3.1.0
Description: - I've had this issue for several months and am frustrated, upset and angry.
I don't hold anyone responsible for this situation. I'm just upset by the fact that I've had to endure this issue for so long.
This issue is intermittent, which means it doesn't happen all the time and it doesn't happen with all applications.
I've managed to determine with a high degree of certainty that the issue is definitely caused by UltraMon or a conflict between UltraMon and something else on my system, and I would very much like help with this issue please.
Because I wasn't sure what was causing the issue, and because I thought it could have been anything, I formatted my system entirely and re-installed Windows.
I was careful to only install things that were absolutely necessary this time around.
After installing UltraMon, this issue began immediately. I immediately un-installed UltraMon and the issue ended immediately.
Situations that cause the issue: - 1) If I move certain windows to my second monitor, as soon as the cursor crosses over to the second monitor, the system locks up while the system attempts to draw the window I was dragging. Once it's done drawing the window (can take several minutes), the second monitor turns off and back on and then I can resume using my computer.
2) If a certain application opens on the second monitor, the system will lock up for less than a minute, the second monitor will turn off and back on and then I'll be able to resume using my computer.
3) If I'm using an application on the second monitor that had previously locked the system and close the window, the system will freeze a second time for less than a minute, the second monitor will turn off and back on and then I'll be able to resume using my system.
4) If I move a window that had previously locked my system FROM the second monitor TO the primary monitor, the system locks up the moment the cursor crosses over to the primary monitor. It will remain frozen for less than a minute and the second monitor will turn off and turn back on and I can resume using the system.
This issue has made use of my second monitor incredibly perilous as I may end up locking my system inadvertently anytime a window opens there or is moved there.
I would appreciate an opportunity for live support over Skype if that's a possibility as I would like to be able to use UltraMon fully and finally be rid of this damned issue.

Nevermind.
I just tried using a window for an application on my second monitor and the issue happened again and UltraMon wasn't installed.
Unless if UltraMon keeps things going after it's been uninstalled, I don't think it's at fault.
I guess I'll have to take this issue up with my video card manufacturer.
I apologize profusely for bothering you with this issue.

I thought I'd at least take the time to point out how I resolved the issue:
I updated to the latest nVidia drivers.
I had intentionally avoided using the latest drivers as they sometimes cause some undesired behavior with the taskbar, but considering the alternative, I can definitely live with it.
So again, I'm terribly sorry for having blamed UltraMon and having been wrong.
