I am getting an error when I try to set the UltraMon Wallpaper to a pair of pictures. The error text is:
-------
UltraMon Desktop encountered a fatal error and will exit.
More Information:
Version: 3.0.10
OS:6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 x32
Source File: .\WallpaperUtil.cpp
Line: 140
Return Value: -2147287035
Last error: 5
-------

I have uninstalled UltraMon and reinstalled it and I continue to get the error. Any suggestions?

Thanks

You'll get this if UltraMon fails to save the wallpaper profile due to being denied access to the file.

To fix this, go to the folder C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Realtime Soft\UltraMon\<version>\Wallpapers and delete the wallpaper profile, then create a new one via UltraMon menu > Wallpaper. If the folder is hidden, go to Control Panel > Folder Options, select the View tab, then set Hidden Files and Folders to Show Hidden Files, Folders and Drives.

If this doesn't fix the problem, you'll need to adjust the permissions for the folder C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Realtime Soft\UltraMon, to do this right-click the folder and select Properties from the menu, then select the Security tab and give your user account full control over the folder and subfolders.

Christian,
Thanks for the help. I was hit by a virus last week that set all my folders to Hidden. I had gotten many of them cleared, but not this one. As soon as I cleared the Hidden flag and reset the Wallpaper via UltraMon the problem went away. THANKS!
