Hello
I currently 2 monitors back to back on a desk so that both sides of the desk can view the screen. At the minute i have created a toggle mirror icon which toggles between mirrored mode. When this is off the screen is extended with the taskbar disabled on the secondary monitor and it just displays a seperate wallpaper with information on.
What i wasnt to achieve is the ability to easily see when mirrored mode is active (without having to check the other monitor)and when the screens are just in 'extended' mode prevent anything but the wallpaper displaying on the screen.
Many thanks for any assistance.

One thing you could do is take a look at the UltraMon icon in the system tray, when you're in mirror mode it will get switched to a single monitor icon.

Regarding preventing applications from opening on the second monitor: make sure the monitor facing you is set to be the primary monitor, this way most applications should open on that monitor.
If that doesn't fix your issue: UltraMon has some support for preventing applications and the mouse from moving to a specific monitor, but this requires a custom script. If you're interested in this please contact me via e-mail at support@realtimesoft.com.
