Seems unlikely that this would be related to UltraMon, sounds more like a hardware/driver issue.
To confirm this, start the system in safe mode, then disable automatic UltraMon startup and check if you still have the issue when starting the system normally. See Troubleshooting: disabling UltraMon for more on this.
