Accidently posted this in the Ultramon forum.
I did search before posting so sorry if I may have missed it.
Looking to setup a presentation enviornment with either laptop or desktop as the presenter (ppt files) and have up to 20 external monitors mirrored. I understand that Ultramon can handle this request but my question is can this be done by using a multiplexer (2 16 port multiplexers would be daisy chained to provide enough ports).

Is that the same as a video splitter? The splitter takes the output of a single monitor and sends it to 2 or more monitors.
While you could do this with UltraMon, you would then need the necessary video cards to drive 20 monitors, and performance would most likely not be good enough with 20 monitors.
