I cannot move my adobe reader X (v10) to another monitor when it is maximized. (This is, click and drag the app bar to another monitor).
I have tried the compatibility method of "alternate moving maximized windows" but that did not work either.
Win7 x64 pro in classic taskbar mode.

Not sure what might cause this, works fine for me on 64-bit Windows 7, both with Aero and the classic theme. A couple of things you can check:
- does the Move Window button work fine?
- which version of UltraMon and Adobe Reader are you using? I tested with UltraMon 3.1.0 and Adobe Reader 10.1.3

I am using Ultramon 3.1.0 and Adobe Reader 10.1.3
The move button is not on the app title bar in either maximised or windowed mode for the adobe reader. It is for other programs excpet for chrome, which does not show the move button in maximised but does in windowed mode.
I have checked the options for if the Move button is enabled and it is. I disabled / re-enabled it and closed / reopened adobe without success.

To get the window buttons with Adobe Reader X you'll need to enable the 'use alternative method to add window buttons' compatibility option for Adobe Reader.

I have the top and bottom "alternate..." checkboxes ticked. Adobe now shows those buttons. However, the click and drag on the title bar does not allow me to move the app to another monitor.
thanks

What happens if you close UltraMon, then drag the title bar? Windows 7 should un-maximize the window, so that you can then move it freely.

That does not work because i have the option ticked - "Prevent windows from being automatically arranged when moved to the edge of the screen". This is because I do not like it when my RDP windows get resized as I throw them about on different monitors.
This option is in - Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Ease of Access Center\Make the mouse easier to use

I've been able to reproduce the issue with this option enabled, a maximized Reader X window can't be dragged even though other applications work fine.
I'll look into it but am not sure if there's a fix for this other than disabling protected mode for Reader X, this option is under Preferences > General, Enable Protected Mode at startup.
