Good Morning
Went to bed Saturday night and all was good. 2 monitors. Woke up Sunday and left (primary) monitor was black but the right (secondary) was good. I did a reboot and the primary refuses to come on.
Click on Ultramon in task bar tried enable secondary and nothing happens. Tried a restore from earlier save point and no change.
Any ideas? Did I press the wrong button? Is 1/2 the video card dead? Any and all ideas would be appreciated.
Card: Nvidia GEForce 7950. Drivers last updated about 1 month ago. Windows XP.
Thanks Dave

Are both monitors shown as enabled if you go to UltraMon menu > Display Settings?
If yes, this is most likely a hardware issue, make sure the monitor cable is properly connected to both the monitor and the video card.

Experimented more:
I switched the cables on the card and now monitor 1 has the single image and monitor 2 is black. So both monitors are ok and both cables are ok. This leaves a card problem or a software problem.
The weird thing, when I turned the computer back on after switching cables both screens displayed the windows start up screen like normal. I thought the problem was fixed. But when the start up ended the second monitor shut off.
I tried having control panel find the monitor and said nothing else was there. I am out of ideas to try.
Thanks for any help.

Are both monitors listed if you go to UltraMon menu > About?

Greetings!
Both Display Settings and About only say 1 monitor.

One other thing you could check: open the Nvidia software, then make sure extended desktop mode (DualView) is enabled.

I wake up this morning and open Nvidia control panel and the computer decided 'hey you do have 2 monitors don't you.'
I run their multi monitor wizard, set for dual view, and after a reboot I am back to 2 screens.
One last question: is Ultramon automatically back in control? I want to make sure the Nvidia wizard didn;t take too much control. I look at the Ultramon systray icon and it shows just a single (orange) monitor. Didn't it used to be an orange and blue monitor?
Display settings and about both say 2 monitors. The secondary is enabled (option is to disable secondary.) So, it looks good but I wanted to double check.
Thanks for the help!

Running the wizard shouldn't cause any problems for UltraMon. Not sure though why you would have the single monitor icon if About says you have two enabled monitors, very odd.
I would reboot the system, then check if everything works fine (you have the taskbar on the secondary monitor, the window buttons added by UltraMon, etc).
