At work we have roaming profiles with folder redirection for the Windows user profile. If my desktop loses connections to the AD server, UltraMon resets the icon positions and overrides previous saved position. This typically happens if there is network maintenance overnight (infrequent).

It would be great if a user had an option to create a backup copy of the saved positions. We could then used the backup to restore positions when they have been lost or overridden.

To back up the saved icon positions, run regedit.exe, then right-click the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Realtime Soft\UltraMon Components\Saved Positions\Icons and select Export from the menu.

To use the backup, open the saved .reg file, then go to UltraMon menu > Desktop Icons > Restore Position.
