Forums -> UltraMon™ -> toolbar stays in low res position when changing resolution

When monitor changes resolution to a lower one, and back again to higher resolution. It keeps the toolbar in the spot of the lower resolution.

Because my monitor wont always turn on after sleeping. I use 12noon display changer to change to a lower res, and then back again.

I've only had this problem with the 3.2.2 version.

Which version of Windows are you using? I tested with UltraMon 3.2.2 on 64-bit Windows 7, but so far haven't seen the issue.

Please also let me know what taskbar settings you're using (autohide, always on top, etc), and the display configuration with the higher and lower resolution for the secondary monitor (you can get this from UltraMon menu > About).

Are you sure the issue is related to UltraMon? If it happens on the primary monitor, you would normally have the main taskbar (the one with the start menu and system tray) on that monitor, not an UltraMon taskbar.

yeah pretty sure. It is the ultramon taskbar that floats in the wrong spot.

I have chosen to put the main bar on the second monitor, because it gives me more space on my primary monitor. and its just nice to have a primary workspace without the icons, systray, etc.

when it happens, I kill the ultramon processes, and start ultramon again.

Not sure what would cause this, if you would like to do further troubleshooting I could create a test version of UltraMonTaskbar.exe which logs things like display configuration changes to try to determine what's going on. Contact me at support@realtimesoft.com if you would like to do this.
