Try getting a program called trilian or trillian
cant remember which
it is an alternative to icq plus it handles
msn, aim, and irc aswell as icq all in one small
program

you can undock the program window and place it on secondary monitors

its cool try it

UltraMon can move ICQ to a secondary monitor using a hotkey, but you won't be able to resize/move the ICQ window once it is on the secondary, otherwise it will move right back to the primary monitor.

Which version are you using? I tested with build 3659 on Windows XP, worked fine on my system.

I have set my second monitor as my primary display and moved my taskbar to the first monitor. ICQ doesn't know the difference. This is kind of sneaky, but it works.

I just tested again, works fine here. Are you using WindowBlinds, WindowFX or a similar program?

Hold down ctrl (or is it left-shift? Damn, my fingers know) while dragging ICQ onto your second monitor. It'll stay put until you do some serious resizing.
Axident   2002-03-20 13:20
Oh, and try Trillian, as suggested. It's got nice multimon support and isn't bloatware like ICQ.

ppl, I think if icq developers will make some patch to disable this god damn auto float option that makes thousands of people go finally crazy, would be just great! But problem is that they wonn't do that until a serious population of users with dualhead systems. I think time is only cure in this issue.
