hi there, i got a geforce2 gts pro + s3 trio 32/64 und the OS WinXP
my problem: i configured the S3 card in my bios as the primary VGA card. so much so, but as soon as i enter XP, i can only use the S3 card. consulting the hardware config it says, that my geforce can not be started ( code 10 ). if i change the boot vga card it´s the same with the S3 ( card could not be started, code 10 ) i have no idea what to do, please help me.

I have tried almost exactly the configuration just this morning Geforce 2 Pro with s3 Trio64 running on WinXP. Mine worked perfectly from the start however. Which PCI slot is the s3 card installed in? I plonked the card in my only remaining slot which was the bottom one. Maybe try putting the s3 card in a different slot. The trio isn't a very good card. It will only do 1024x768 in 256 colours, so I will be replacing it fairly soon.

Justin, what motherboard/chipset are you using?

i think i will try another slot, but i also tried it with an ATI RAGE IIC an it had the same effect.
my secondary screen ( link with my AGP - card ) turned a bit brighter than beforce...but nothing was working with a second display.

think that is a problem with the ACPI.
normally the IRQs are assigned automatically, and both graphiccards have the IRQ 9, so there might be a conflict, although XP assignes them automatically and is also capable to "multi-assign" a IRC. but how can i solve this problem ? i read, that in my bios i could disable ACPI but i found nothing.
please help me.
