okay, i've changed INIT FIRST to agp, but when i run any game that uses opengl (quake2 & halflife), my computer locks up. the only way i can get around it is by disabling the second display.....?
any ways around this?

I have a similar problem. Anything openGL on secondary causes reboot. The newest nvidia drivers made it even worse...almost anything caused lockup. I had some success with earlier drivers....12.xx. But now I can't even get htose to work properly. Anybody have any luck getting good openGL performance across 2 cards? Im using 2 geforce2 mx400.

Are you running Win98 or WinME? The Win9x OS's will not run openGL with multi monitors active. I've see people use UltraMon to get it to work. I just upgraded to XP Pro. Works great for me!

as said, Win9x doesn't do multi-monitor OpenGL. (or, perhaps more accurately, multi-displaycard OpenGL, since DualHead works) but, at least with nVIDIA's nView, with WinXP (2k?) the other monitor(s) can be enabled, while playing an OpenGL game. nView also enables multi-displaycard OpenGL/D3D hardware acceleration, provided all the cards are GeForce2s or better.
OpenGL runs fine with all monitors enabled, WinXP Pro, DetonatorXP 28.32 Elsa Gladiac Ultra, ATI Graphics Pro 2M :)
