Hi,
after few days of experimentation, i just reached the desesperate following situation :
I just have a brand new Sony VAIO FXA36 with XP home (as shipped) and a ATI Mobility M1 video card.
I installed the latest ATI drivers from Sony support website (5779).
I want to use the dual monitor / extended desktop feature (1024 x 768) with a CRT 17" from Nokia (the 447E).
I CAN'T get ANY refresh rate above 60 Hz for the second monitor.
Unfortunately, the 447E is not in the XP home list of supported monitor : almost all other version of the 447 are there, but not the 447E.
So the 2nd monitor is detected as a the standard PnP monitor.
And, whatever the value (70 / 75 Hz) I use in the display settings/advanced/monitor screen, the CRT monitor remains flickering at 60 Hz.
There is no inf file available for this monitor for W2k and I can't find anyone as well for W9x
Please, any idea is pretty much welcome : how can i force to make this CRT run at 75 Hz ???
