I have ver 3.11.0137 from nvidia
recomended by this great site to support muti monitors, this works great. But i get the other problem with these drivers - the machine no longer shuts itself down. I have tried to download other later drivers but i loose the geforce as my primary monitor.
please help, and thanks for your time.

could you post more specific info about your system? OS, other adapters, driver versions of each, etc...

This might take long, but probably helps.
shutdown, remove the PCI card.
boot up, go to Control Panel -> System -> Hardware, etc, here you can "Fallback" drivers. Fall back on the original drivers on the GeForce. Reboot.
Download latest drivers from www.nvidia.com (28.32 as of now). Install them. reboot. Make sure the AGp card is working.
shutdown, install the PCI card. (change BIOS it PCI Primary, if your card needs it).
Boot up. (change the AGP to primary in windows, if PCI is primary in BIOS).
This _should_ work...

btw, I read somewhere that XP Home edition has somehow different multi-monitor support? (limited, or non-existant) maybe worth checking out that first.
