I had dual-display up on win98.
Boss wanted to upgrade to Win2000, so we did.
We have on-board AGP
card by ATI RAGE (chip) 16MB
and I bought a PCI ATI Xpert128 card.
I have all the drivers installed.
The issue is with Windows.
If in the bios, I set AGP to run first,
The computer boots up using the AGP monitor,
and right after the litle win2k box saying starting-up finishes (goes blue all accross),
that monitor freezes, and win2k switches to the PCI adapter. IF i set PCI first in BIOS, then AGP doesn't show up at all. HEEEEEEEEEELP!!!!

leave the pci card as the primary adapter in the bios settings. when w2k boots up go into the display settings, select the 'advanced' tab, and choose the AGP adapter from the 'display' list. Once you have the AGP adapter selected, check the box to 'extend my desktop' and your set. all your bootup/dos activity will take place on your PCI card but you can set the AGP as the primary adapter for windows.

HTH,

neal.
