When I load Windows media player, the machine reboots when all moniotrs are running (I have 3), I have to shut down the secondary monitors before I use this app to avoid this..is this normal behaviour?
Cheers

does it happen with only two monitors? If not, does it matter which monitor is on? when you open mplayer, does it hang regardless of what media you are trying to open? (video/music) do you have nView enabled? which drivers are you using?
try setting all screens at the same resolution (it shouldn't affect it, but hey, you never know, its a microsoft product ;)
I have GF2Ultra AGP (1280x1024) as Primary in Windows and an ATI Graphics PRO (1024x768) as Primary in BIOS, secondary in Windows (XP Pro) and I don't have any problems running WinMedia.
try different drivers and/or disabling some background tasks, if you have any that might affect the situation.
