Just a quick question...

If you install a really crappy PCI adapter (lets say 1MB) as the secondary display - will this effect the performance of the first display adapter in anyway - refresh rate? fps in games? general system performane?

Thanks!

Not that I know of. I have a GeForce2 Ultra as the primary, and a ATI Graphics PRO 2Mb / S3 ViRGE/DX 2Mb as the secondary. Doesn't affect the primary at all. And the ViRGE is _really_crappy :P

I run an Nvidia Geforce 2 MX (agp) in conjunction with an S3 trio 1 MB card (pci)
on Win98se with not much trouble.

OpenGL does not run in a dual monitor enviroment anyway..no problem there..and anything else that requires any other sort of acceleration just chooses the best adaptor for itself and away it goes..

There is no noticeable degradation besides the physical limits of the respective adaptors ie: Geforce 2MX 64 Mb runs like a Lambourgini..and the S3 trio 1 MB runs like it should when it was made..to suit the speed of a 486...like a school bus! :)
