Im just wondering what peoples views are to regarding whire display adapter is better for standard 2D graphics (i.e - windows use) out of 3dfx's voodoo 3000 and Matrox's G200.
Both cards have 16MB of ram onboard.. in your opinion which card do you think is best for a second display card???

Come on people! - dont be shy! :)

Thanks

Matrox wins hands down. No other card currently avalaible (short of professional 3DLabs perhaps) can match 2D quality with Matrox. If 3D doesn't matter, Matrox is the only choice if quality is the issue.

It's not coincidence that the card used in almost every "business" computer is a Matrox one...

Cool.
I got hold of a cheepy matrox G200 pci card for £10 off ebay, and slapped that into my pc where the voodoo 3000 used to reside and my pc seems to work smoothly.
Infact now im really chuffed now cause my problem with winxp - hibernate and the voodoo card has now gone and i can boot my pc up in next to no time!

The matrox pci cards seem to make excellent second, third, etc.. display adapters for the cost!
