Forums -> Multiple monitors -> Dual Monitor Display in Windows XP - Problem

HI,
Has anyone managed to get 2 monitors running in Windows XP ??

I have a Nvidia Riva TNT2 16meg AGP and a SIS 6326 4meg PCI.
If I boot up with my PCI card first, my monitor works fine.
I then install the AGP card with monitor and the system/device manager picks
the card up and shows it as available.
But when I go to display properties, I cannot see the second monitor.

If I use the AGP as my default and then install the PCI, it gives me an
error code 10 (Unable to start device) for my PCI card.
I have tried a few different drivers to no avail.
But surely if my PCI card works, and then I install the second card (AGP)
and it gets picked up by the device manager and says its working properly, I
should be able to see both monitors in the display options ??
Could anyone maybe shed some light in this regard or point me in the correct
direction.
Thanks.
Jacques.

Two monitors - yes. Three - Not this far.
I have tried many adapters and most of them work as secondary. Currently I'm running GF2 Ultra with a MGA Mystique 220 as secondary. PCI is primary in BIOS and the GF2 is primary in windows, (WinXP Pro)

Have you installed drivers for the cards, or are you running default ones? Try booting to safe mode, uninstalling the adapters and then rebooting.
