Hello:
Just thought I'd share this for comments and input. I just got a new Dell 8200 with XP Pro and GeF3 Ti500 and DVI with TV out. I did have a problem when I installed the second video card. I already had a nVidia 64 MB AGP and I put in a
Visiontek nVidia 64 MB (MX420) PCI in the 2nd PCI slot (the first had the factory installed SB card)-the card was detected and I started the driver installation from the CD and then boom-BSOD!after a couple of tries it installed and is working well now-although sometimes I see three monitors under "Settings" (maybe I should
have installed the-new card drivers in safe
mode?)-anyway, choosing to keep the projector as the secondary monitor and using the output device as "Analog monitor" enables me to
use the projector as the second monitor. The software I use is a church worship software and runs on two monitors and also, I had to play around with the powerpoint slide show to
make it display on the projector while I saw the
slides on the primary-it is possible only when I use the slide sorter view and then click slide show and then it is great.
So I am happy it is working but curious how to avoid the BSOD in future.
