I've had version beta5 for some time, which worked fine for me.
Just to let you know, I totally messed up my configuration, and my computer crashed serveral times an hour :P
But then I installed version beta7; my system now crashes even more!
That's what my request is for;
do you have a link/download of ultramon beta 5?

well, I made quite a mess :)
First of all, I've installed a new videocard.
then I switched almost all my pci cards. (bad move!)
This made windows2000 extremely unhappy. (crashes etc.)
So I think there's nothing wrong with ultramon, but the fact remains that windows2000 went VERY unhappy when I installed ultramon beta7.
beta5 worked, not fine, but better...
that's why I really want that one back again.

Try uninstalling the mirroring feature. To do this, go to Add/Remove Programs, select UltraMon and click on Change. You can then deselect the mirroring feature. You should reboot after making the change. Please let me know if this fixed the problem.

too bad the problem isn't solved by doing that...
and well, actually I was first looking for the demo. If I can get my system up and running, with minimum instability, I will buy the it; but I'm not very confident :)

Previous beta releases are no longer supported, I'm only making them available to registered users upon request. I suggest you give the next release another try, this will be the first release candidate, with lots of bug fixes and improved stability.
If you are interested in finding the cause for the problems on your system, I'll need a bit more information:
- does the system crash or only certain applications? If the system crashes, which driver caused the problem?
- do you have the same problems with the Smart Taskbar turned off?
- do you use desktop enhancement applications like WindowBlinds or DesktopX?
