I'm using a NVIDIA RIVA TNT (Diamond Viper 550) as a primary videocard and
I want to use an (old) trident 9440 as a secondary card. After downloading the new drivers from the trident website. The second videocard initialises and I get the message "If you can see this message everything is correct...." on my secondary monitor. But when I go and try to enable the secondary monitor in the display settings, the secondary monitor won't enable.
What can I do to correct this? I tried changing the primary card into the secondary card but this does not work; in the device manager Windows gives as reason "Windows will try to restart without checking your hardware".
I use Windows Millenium (4.90.3000).
