Greetings all. I have a bit of a issue that I was hoping you guys could assist me with.

I'm currently running Windows 2000 Advanced Server, and I have two monitors connected through my MSI GF4 TI4400. I originally set things up using nView, and although the effect is rather decent I seek more functionality. UltraMon seems to provide that functionality, but I still can't get things to work.

As it stands now, Windows only detects a single monitor titled 'Default Monitor for Nvidia GF4', and has both monitors as a horizontal desktop. While this is all fine and dandy, during gaming I find one of the monitors is either black or flickers like a VCR with poor tracking.

What I would like to be able to do is have two 'separate' monitors so that, when doing something like playing a game, I can have the other monitor remain on the desktop for something like AIM.

Is there any way to do this? Or is the nView/GF4 architecture such that this isn't possible?

Thanks.

Hi Kevin,

you'll need to install the 28.32 or later drivers, which have true multi-monitor support on Windows 2000, meaning you'll have two independent displays listed in Display Properties. See this thread for more information.

Once you have installed the new drivers, you'll also be able to use all UltraMon features.
