Hi,
I just set-up a windows XP machine with a GForce 4400 dvi and analog output.

I have a sony 18in dvi monitor and a 15 in lcd. Currently I am using windows display settings so I can have different resolutions and have digital capability on my 18in dvi screen.

Is it possible to use nview and have different resolutions? This way I can have a taskbar that extends to the second screen.

Thanks

I doubt it.

With nView working like that, it tricks the OS into thinking you have just one large widescreen monitor. The OS wasn't designed to handle one display in any shape other than a rectangle, which is what you'd get if you ran different resolutions with nView like that.

You'll either have to stick with the same resolution, or sacrifice some taskbar space. If you need taskbar space and are using XP, I recommend a vertical taskbar with TweakUI set to group all applications with 2 or more processes.
