Hello,
I experience some performance issues when launching applications from taskbar when UltraMon 3.2.2 is enabled after installing Windows 8.1 update 1.
There is a few seconds pause before application opens after clicking a button on the task bar. This behavior is not observed when launching applications any other way.
Kind regards,

Do you have UltraMon's Smart Taskbar enabled? I'm not seeing this issue on my system, also with UltraMon 3.2.2 on 64-bit Windows 8.1.1.

Yes, the problem occurs when smart taskbar is enabled.
Kind regards,

Using the built-in multi-monitor taskbar should fix the problem, UltraMon's Smart Taskbar isn't supported on Windows 8.
To do this first go to UltraMon Options > Smart Taskbar and disable the Smart Taskbar, then right-click the main taskbar, select Properties, then check the option 'Show taskbar on all displays' and set the option 'Show taskbar buttons on' to 'Taskbar where window is open'.
Let me know if you have a specific reason for using UltraMon's Smart Taskbar instead.

I am having the same issue. This is on a pretty stout pc so I know its not a resource issue on the pc side. I have of course rebooted, removed and re-installed the 3.2.2 X64 version and still get same results that the applications launched chug along and after about 15 to 20 seconds the application will launch fine. I have loaded it up on another pc with a tri monitor setup and similar pc, windows 8.1 with current updates and patches and do not have the problems that the original pc is having.

I had the same problem (programs slow to launch in desktop mode) with the smart taskbar enabled. I had to disable to get normal performance. I wish there was an update to fix this...i've been using ultramon for years and love it!

Mike, there won't be a fix for this, the built-in multi-monitor taskbar on Windows 8 has basically the same functionality as UltraMon's Smart Taskbar.
Let me know if you miss a specific feature with the built-in taskbar.
