Forums -> Multiple monitors -> 4 monitors, 2 different resolutions, one desktop?

Hello,

I am currently using two 15" lcds with the Matrox G-550 AGP. I'd like to add two 17" lcds, and spread the desktop over these 4 monitors. Since the lower end lcds use only one resolution, I need the two 15" lcd resolution to be 1024x768 and the two 17" lcd resolution to be 1280x1024.

Also, I need the desktop to be spread out among all 4 of these monitors, like one big monitor.

If I add a dual pci card, will I be able to do this? Or do I need one quad card?

I'm running Windows 2k Pro and AMD 1800xp.

Thanks, Paul

Paul

You could set up the other two monitors and get the desktop spread across them. However, if you are looking to get the taskbar spread across both monitors I don't believe it would work. From what I've been reading, there seems to be a 2 monitor limitation to that feature, and all monitors have to be running at the same resolution.

If anyone knows different though, say so.
