How many monitors does windows XP support ?

This has been asked & answered a million times already, but. Theoretically as many as you can stick in your computer. With quad-output cards and 6xPCI slots + 1 AGP... you count.

But in reality, there's been talk of some limitation of 12 monitors... nobody hasn't proved either a false. Figures, no one has 12+ monitors *AND* adapters that work together :)

Well... I don't know about Windows XP, but I've got Win2k running quite nicely with 7 17" monitors. One quad-head G200, 1 nVidia GF2 AGP, and 2 nVidia TNT2's.

Had a few funny minutes until I found the correct driver set for the G200's, but since then it's a dream. Oh... and Ultramon wasn't happy until I un-installed and re-installed it - I guess it configures itself on install to the devices it can see.

10 and I have 3 at the moment. The possibility is 1 AGP card with out puts and 4 pci cards with 2 outputs.
