I have two 19" flat scrren CRTs, a Geforce 3 Ti500 and a Geforce 4 MX 420 PCI. I want to be able to play a game on one monitor (Primary or not I dont care) and to use Instant Messaging and Internet explorer on the other. I have done it so far, but whenever I swing the the mouse over to the non-gaming monitor and click or type the game on the 1st monitor minimizes. How can I avoid this?

You can't. It's the way Windows/the game is programmed. Only "workaround" is, that you run the game in windowed mode.
