Forums -> Multiple monitors -> 3 monitors, XP, G4 Ti on AGP, G4 MX on PCI, and Nview... Possible?

I am running with a G4 Ti4400 and XP with 2 monitors. NView works great with this setup. However, I would like to add a third monitor with a G4 MX PCI card... AND... have ONE screen resolution with NView (gaming purposes). Is this possible? Any registry tweaks? i.e. 3840x1024x32... 1920x480x32... etc...

Still no luck. I really don't think its possible with NView right now. At least using the 29.42 drivers in XP. Anyone know if the new 30.30 drivers RE-enable 3+ monitor support?

I doubt it is possible, unfortunately. As far as I know, using multiple monitors as a single screen area only works with single GeForce cards that have more than one monitor connection, and only under Windows 2000.

If you add a secondary PCI GeForce card with a third/fourth monitor connection, even Windows 2000 treats that card as separate screen space. Which means either 3D acceleration won't work at all or the first card will render and it will copy to the second. Slow in any case.

I've been trying to accomplish the same with a GeForce 4 Ti4400 along with a PCI GeForce 2MX 400 under 98SE, 2000 and XP, but only with Flight Simulator, no OpenGL games yet.
