I've searched various forums etc. including this one but haven't found anything yet that discribes my problem. I'v installed the latest (1.7) release of the Ultramon software, what seemed to have some nice features I needed. Still, I do have some problems: I have an AGP Geforce 4MX-440 with TV-out and a Matrox G450 DH PCI. When I play a game, I use Ultramon to turn of the additional monitors (the ones on the Matrox, NOT the tv). So far everything works fine. But when I'm finished, I turn everything back on using Ultramon, but that's when the troubles start: The TV-out gets swithced on as additional monitor (though it's only suppost to function as a mirror through the nView drivers) while I do have it 'ignored' in Ultramon settings. Then there is no taskbar anymore on my number 4 monitor. I go to displaysettings in Windows and manually switch of the tv-out, then have to go to advanced to switch the mirror (clone) back on, which at the same time puts my main display on 75Hz. I then have to put the Refresh rate back to 100Hz and reset al my desktop-icons manually, because the 'restore desktop icons' function doesn't seem to do anything. Please, can anybody help? This way of working IS very frustrating (as you most likely can understand).
Thanx in advance, Tommy Z.®

Please post your display configuration as reported by UltraMon, before and after disabling secondary monitors.
To copy the current display configuration, choose About from the UltraMon menu and copy the system information.

Looks like ignoring monitor 3 didn't work for some reason. Please check the Ignored Monitors tab and make sure that monitor 3 is ignored. Once the monitor is ignored, you'll only have 3 monitors listed, with monitor 3 actually being monitor 4.
In case ignoring the monitor doesn't work, try the script I have mailed you. The script disables/enables monitors 2 and 4. Let me know if you still have the same problem when using the script.
Regarding spam: I would recommend posting without entering an e-mail address if you are concerned about spam. Spammers harvesting e-mail addresses from web sites might get your address when using the forum, I get lots of spam myself due to having various e-mail addresses posted on the site.

Thanks a lot for that script! It works perfectly! One more question, since I know nothing about programming; do you know of an easy way to convert this scriptfile to an .exe? I would like to assign a shortcutkey to it and windows only seems to do that with executables...
Concerning the spam; good point. Can you maybe remove my adres from this forum then? Otherwise I'm afraid to get even more spam... :(

You can do the following to launch the script using a keyboard shortcut:
- create a shortcut to the script - place the shortcut somewhere on the Start menu - open Properties for the shortcut and assign a keyboard shortcut
BTW, the next release of UltraMon will make this easier, you'll be able to assign hotkeys to scripts or applications from within UltraMon.
If you are interested in fixing the problem with ignored monitors, please send me a mail. I can send you a test version of UltraMon to help with figuring out what's going wrong.
