Forums -> UltraMon™ -> Desktop Icons move after reboot despite "Save Now" option

I am running UltraMon 3.2.2 on a Windows 7 64-bit system. I have two identical monitors and I have copied a few of my most used icons from my Primary monitor to my Secondary monitor.

The program works beautifully and I have no problem moving a window from one monitor to the other.

The only problem occurs when I reboot or power down, the icons are rearranged.

On the General tab, under Desktop Icons, I have the "preserve position of desktop icons" checked and I clicked "Save Now".

Can you tell me how to stop the Icons from being rearranged? Thank you.

Do you occasionally shut down the system with only a single monitor enabled? That would cause problems because UltraMon saves icon positions during shutdown.

I would try the following: uncheck the 'preserve position of desktop icons' option, then manually save icon positions and check if restoring icon positions via UltraMon menu > Desktop Icons works fine after a reboot.

You say that you copied the icons, does that mean that they have the same name? That would cause problems because UltraMon would then try to position both icons at the same spot.
