Hello. I'm having a problem using the maximize to desktop feature with a certain piece of stock trading software. I just upgrade my desktop OS to 64Bit Win7 with 8BG Ram. I installed latest 64bit Ultramon and this feature doesn't seem to work with it. It worked fine when I had the 32Bit version of Win7 and 4gb ram. Also had/have 4 monitor setup. Is there anything I can try? Thanks.

Are you using the window button or the hotkey for this? Does Maximize to Desktop work with other applications?

Using the window button and other apps do work, XL, Word, Firefox, Windows Explorer. Tradestation which is a .NET based trading application doesn't work. Also ThinkorSwim, java based doesn't work also. These two are giving me the trouble. The move to window button works but the maximize button doesn't do anything. I've tried to expand the window manually then click the button to no success.

Some applications restrict how other applications can resize/move their windows. If you are using a newer version of the affected applications, my guess would be the issue is due to a change in those applications, 32- or 64-bit shouldn't matter.
Manually resizing the application will usually work fine though, to do this un-maximize the application window, put it on the leftmost monitor, then drag the bottom-right corner of the window with the mouse.

Something else: is the same monitor set as primary as before? That might also affect this behavior.

Thanks. I think you may be onto something. The ordering might have changed. I will check thinks and post back.
