Is it possible via any software packages
to simply get the same
desktop on multiple monitors, I do not want to
extend my desktop but want to simply show the same desktop on 1) main monitor 2) my cintix tablet lcd?

Any help would be great,

You're looking for a feature called "mirroring". Most display adapters' drivers support this straight out of the box. Also UltraMon supports it. But you'll end up with a lot better performance with a VGA-splitter cable.
