If you have read an e-mail and then click the Delete button of the e-mail window, clicking either Yes or No on the confirmation dialog will crash AOL.
Workaround: go to Options > Window Title Bar, and either disable custom window buttons for waol.exe or check the option "don't add custom buttons to dialogs and message boxes".
I'm currently working on this problem and will make a patch available when it has been fixed.

You should also disable custom window buttons for aoltray.exe (also in the main AOL folder), otherwise it may still crash.

A patch is now available that fixes this problem. If you are using AOL, it is recommended that you install this patch. The workarounds mentioned above do not reliably fix the problem.
Important information regarding this patch: the problem seems to be caused by a bug in Windows. The patch implements a workaround, but may have negative side effects, for example under some circumstances custom menu commands may no longer work. This patch only affects AOL (or other applications with the same problem, none known at the moment), other applications will not be negatively affected by installing this patch.
If possible, the next release of UltraMon will implement a workaround with no or less side effects.
Downloading the patch:
Windows 98/Me: aol_patch_w9x_rc1.zip Windows 2000/XP: aol_patch_wnt_rc1.zip
To install the patch, close UltraMon, then extract the ZIP to your UltraMon directory, usually C:\Program Files\UltraMon.
After installing the patch, you can re-enable custom window buttons for waol.exe and the "don't add custom buttons to dialogs and message boxes" option. In order for the patch to work, the option "enable moving of maximized windows using the mouse" on the General tab needs to be enabled.
