Forums -> UltraMon™ -> Display setting should be based on actual size of monitor, not resolution

The "Display Settings" are based on the monitor's resolution. Logically speaking, I think it should be based on the actual size of the monitor (i.e., 17", 22", etc.), not the resolution.

Here is why: I have two monitors side by side - on 17" in portrait mode and one 27" in landscape. The 17" (in portrait) is about as tall as the 27" (in landscape), this setup is very fluid.

However, the 17" monitor has more dots (1280 pixels) than the 27" monitor (1080 pixels) across the height. As a result, UltraMon insists that the 17" is taller than the 27" in its "Display Settings". This makes the mouse pointer "jump" as I move the mouse perfectly laterally from the 17" monitor to the 27" monitor.

Is there any fix for this?

There's no real fix for this, what you could do is change how the two monitors are aligned (at the top or bottom), if the monitors are aligned at the top there will be no jump when you move the mouse along the top, but you'll hit a 'wall' when moving it along the bottom.
