Hi

I am trying to get 3 monitors working using ultramon.

I have an agp and two pci monitor cards in a PC running xp and Ultramon. I have vga grab selected in my bios.

I can make the acp and one pci card work fine, however, the 2nd pci card just won't install, it keeps giving me an error (10) message.

Whichever pci card I put in works ok ON ITS OWN, but won't work WITH another pci card.

Any ideas or suggestions to fix this?

It sounds like a memory clash, if it is is there a way of dealing with this?

A second question - if I buy a dual monitor agp card will this work ok with one of the PCI cards in order to give me 3 monitors?

Please post any replies to the forum and copy to:

many thanks

More information is needed, but you got old PCI cards. Only newer PCI (and Matrox) cards work without being sent the VGAINIT signal (ie. working as secondary.) These adapter might work well in Win9x, but in 2000/XP they don't.

Solution: get different PCI cards. Matrox Millennium II cards are dirt-cheap and they work with almost anything :) (MGA-2164W chipset)
