recieved my dvi-vga adapter a week ago ish, but i cant seem to get it to work, it recognises that the vga cable on the monitor is plugged into something, but i get no screen , i have enabled the monitor, low res/refresh rate but no luck, its probs sommet really simple but ne ideas? thanks in advance

Is it a true ATI card, or an OEM card? Some OEM cards don't support VGA out via the DVI connector (at least according to the OEM card specs on http://www.NewEgg.com/ ).

Ahh sorry, didn't know I replied back to this specific topic.
The situation is this, make sure your video card does have the capability to support dual monitors. I ran into that as well before and I just went out to buy a DVI adapter and expected it to work.
I would make sure that it does support it.
